When silence turned out to be not the finish line, but the starting pad
For a year after the opening of ONTO NOTHING, I lived with the feeling of a man who had found a light switch in a room where there had been none for seventy thousand years.. This seemed sufficient.
It turned out that this was just the beginning.
But first, about what has changed. Because the third chapter ended at the opening. And any discovery makes sense only in what happens after.
After my first panic attack, I dug for another five years.. Through psychologists, retreats, meditations - everything that I listed in the third chapter. Found a switch. And from that moment on, no more panic attacks.. Not because I learned to deal with them. But because the generator that produced them disappeared.
Imagine: you live in an apartment next to the railway. Trains move day and night. You tell yourself “I’m used to it”. But then one day the road is cleared. And only then do you understand what kind of background it was.
Discipline appeared on its own. Not through “should”, not through willpower - but because the saboteur disappeared. I've started from scratch dozens of times before. Afterwards, I can go in one direction for years.
Existential crises have stopped. At all. Questions “who am I?”, “what is my mission?”, “what is my purpose?” - just stopped appearing. Not “I found the answers to them”. They have become irrelevant.
Relationships have strengthened. Yana - the same bride who looked at me with confusion when I went into the forest to smoke and could not explain what was wrong with me - became my wife.
We can look at each other without plaque. Without a past that usually lies between two people like cloudy glass. There is an opportunity to see each other now - without ideas, without expectations, without comparison with how it “should have been.”
Interaction with people in general has also changed.. Surrounded by new people - any, no matter what size - I remained myself. It became very easy to communicate with people who previously seemed like “another league” to me.
Birth of a personal laboratory
Difficult events happen to everyone. With everyone. No exceptions.
The same mechanism works for most people. DMN takes control and starts its endless carousel: “Why did this happen?”, “We should have done it differently,” “What will they think of me now?”
But there's another way. This is where what I call is born personal laboratory.
Imagine: the event happened. The body shrank. Emotion struck. And at this moment - instead of falling into the funnel of thoughts - you take a step to the side. Inside yourself. A gap appears.
In this gap, you are both a test subject and a researcher.. You don't suffer from the event - you put it on the laboratory bench.
I kept diaries. Fixed states. At the same time, data was sent from the encephalograph and fitness tracker. And when I compared subjective notes with objective numbers, I saw patterns.
During that period, an event occurred that entrepreneurs who experienced the betrayal of a partner will understand without further ado. The person I trusted acted arrogantly and basely.
The body saw.
When I pulled up the data for those weeks - on thirty parameters of the state of the brain and body - the following was discovered:. During the period when betrayal was already being prepared, but I had not yet consciously seen it, my body signaled. HRV was falling. The dream was becoming ragged. Recovery was getting worse.
This is it Visceral Mind in action. Not mysticism - data. Not intuition as fortune telling - intuition as the processing of signals that the body reads before consciousness.
Invisible discovery
During the process, things began to happen that I could not explain by silence alone.
I would sit down at my desk, log into Nothing, and suddenly find that I could stay focused on a task for two, three, four hours straight without a single distraction.. Without effort.
At other moments, I closed my eyes after a hard day - and in ten minutes my body recovered as if I had slept for three hours.
And sometimes - the strangest thing - I asked myself a difficult question, entered the silence, and after a few minutes the answer came. Not as a result of logical analysis. The complete solution appeared.
For some time I explained it simply: the brain rests - the brain works better. Logical.
But the rational model did not explain why different inputs into silence produce different results.. These were not variations of one condition. These were different states. With different sensations, different functions, different results.
From the very beginning the remote control was in my hands. I just pressed the same key.
Later I realized something else: each of these conditions was described long before me. Thousands of years ago - in Sanskrit, Pali, Arabic, the language of Zen koans and Christian mystics.
I started verifying. What are these states?? What do they give? How exactly do they help in everyday life?
Presentation of the remote control
I thought for a long time about how to tell you about this. What I created is not a course, not a “technique”, not a “protocol”. This is something that must be shown in its entirety, in a single gesture.
So I decided to do it in the format high-tech presentations. The same one - with an audience, a screen and one person on stage. A format that was invented by Steve Jobs and has been used ever since to introduce game-changing things to the world.
Imagine holding a ticket to Silicon Valley.. You are invited to a private presentation of a new product from ONTO NOTHING.
The light goes out.
“Every few decades something comes along that changes not the industry, but the way we live.
1440 → 1876 → 2007 → 2022
1440 — Printing press. Gutenberg created the printing press - and memes had the first way to reproduce without a voice. All you have to do is press a lever and one idea is copied a thousand times.
1876 - Telephone. Bell invented the telephone - and memes learned to move instantly. Via wire. Across the ocean. Distance is no longer a barrier.
2007 — iPhone. Jobs showed off the iPhone - and memes got round-the-clock access to your nervous system. Not when you open your computer. Constantly. In your pocket.
2022 — ChatGPT. ChatGPT appeared - and memes learned to create themselves. Without a person. Faster than a human.
For the information that lives within you.
Four hundred years of technological progress - not a single step in favor of the carrier.
— You already have a mind control panel. He was always there. The problem is not that it doesn't exist. The problem is what he is like.
Remember those TVs? No remote control. To change the channel, get up from the couch, come over, spin the drum. Click. Click. Channels - four. Half - with interference. The handle fell off a year ago. You have to hold the antenna with your hand to catch the signal.
This is your current consciousness control panel.
If you want to relax, you need to “get off the couch”: take time, find a quiet place, struggle with thoughts for twenty minutes. If you want to focus, drink coffee, turn on the timer, tell yourself “get ready”. If you want to fall asleep, count sheep, breathe squarely, take melatonin.
Four channels. Half with interference. The handle fell off. And you think it's okay. Because they didn't see anyone else.
Three Brain Networks and the Role of the Salience Network
— But pliers and inconvenience are just the tip of the iceberg. To hell with the inconvenience. The problem is what happens to a TV that doesn't work properly for years.
When you don't control states, states begin to control you. The lack of a remote control is not just “I’m tired”. This:
Chronic beta storm. Energy leak. Up to 20% of the body's total resources are spent on the DMN.
Existential vacuum. There is a hole inside, and you try to plug it with money, projects, people, but it still whistles.
Loss of identification. You become simply the sum of your reactions to external stimuli.
Self-destruction. If the body cannot effectively manage energy, nature is cruel. The self-destruction program has already been launched.
— To understand what’s broken, let’s look under the hood. Because the problem is not your willpower. The problem is in the architecture.
Your brain has three large neural networks—billions of neurons working together like an orchestra.
DMN — Default Mode Network
Passive mode network. "Radio in my head." Internal dialogue, mind wandering, replaying the past, rehearsing the future. Most people have DMN hyperactive — hijacks the airwaves and doesn’t give other networks a chance to speak.
CEN — Central Executive Network
Executive network. Focus. Working memory, logic, problem solving. When you're truly focused, that's CEN.
SN — Salience Network
Salience Network. Dispatcher. Decides which of the two networks will now receive control - DMN or CEN. For most people, SN is weak and untrained.
This is a literal description of a brain in which the SN does not work and the DMN has taken over the entire ether..
Your brain has three main rhythms. Three frequencies on which it broadcasts.
Beta (13–30 Hz). Fast, sharp, like the sound of a typewriter. The voice of active thinking, analysis, anxiety.
Alpha (8–12 Hz). Slower, smoother, like calm breathing. The voice of relaxed awareness.
Theta (4–8 Hz). Slowest. Depth. Sleep boundary. Theta occurs when the brain enters states that are inaccessible during normal waking hours.
Each switch between networks leaves a clear trace on the EEG. Not blurry - distinct.
When the SN is activated and takes control, reducing DMN hyperactivity, the same thing happens on the devices. Every time. Each participant.
The green ones take off.
The dispatcher woke up.
Map of existing methods
Before I explain how we are different, let's look at what the market today has to offer a person who wants to manage their wealth.
I'll draw you a simple graph. Two axes.
Vertical - depth. How fundamentally does the method change the way the brain works?. Below - cosmetics, temporary relief. At the top are real changes at the neural network level.
Horizontal - lightness. Not “how pleasant” it is, but how easy it is to get the result. On the left - it takes years of discipline. On the right - instantly.
Bottom right - things that are easy to try but don't change anything. Above on the right is a chemical that simulates the results while you take it.. In the center are methods that work, but require effort and time.
And the upper right corner is empty.
Deep and easy. Real changes at the level of neural networks - without many years of discipline, without clinics, without fighting yourself. Nobody got there. Because everyone thought: it doesn’t happen. Depth and lightness are always a compromise.
Six Modes - Operating System
- Here he is. Everything we talked about - three neural networks, a dispatcher, state switching, alpha, beta, theta - it all comes down to this.
In the center - NOTHING. This is not one of the modes. This entry point. The operating system on which everything else runs.
From this point - and only from this point - all six modes are available. Like the Shift key on a keyboard: by itself it doesn’t type anything, but as long as you hold it, each key works differently.
NOTHING is an instant stop to internal dialogue. Not slowing down. Not observing thoughts from the outside. Stop. Full. According to your decision. In seconds.
Buddhists called it sunyata. Yogi - nirodhoy. Heidegger - Gelassenheit. I call this the NOTHING button.
Pure Nothing
Closed eyes. System zero. Reboot.
Noon. You worked four hours. Head full of conversations, numbers, other people's expectations. The body is heavy, although you have not made a single physical movement. You are not tired - you are noisy.
Previously, you had only one option: hold out until the evening. Or coffee, which will give you the illusion of vivacity for thirty minutes, and then drop you even lower.
You press the button. Close your eyes. Three to thirty seconds. Beta collapses. Alpha takes off. The internal radio goes silent.
A minute later you open your eyes. Head is clean. Body is light. The energy returned without coffee, without a break, without leaving the task.
This is the basic mode. Point zero. Every day begins with it - and you can return to it as many times as you like.
Visceral Mind
Body access. Visceral Intelligence. A compass that doesn't lie.
You live in your head. For years. For decades. The body has become a vehicle for the brain. You feed him, wash him, sometimes train him. But you don't hear. You don't feel it. The connection is broken.
And in the body there is all the information. Four billion years of evolution have written into your cells a navigation system that works faster than any analysis.. When the situation is dangerous, the body contracts half a second before the brain realizes. When a person lies, your stomach tightens.
But you don't get these signals. Attention locked in DMN. In my head. In the verbal noise. The body screams - you don't hear.
Visceral Mind returns access. What does it give:
Speed of decisions. Two minutes instead of two weeks. You enter Nothing, lower your attention into the body - and the body responds. Compression or expansion. Warm or cold. Attraction or repulsion.
Navigation accuracy. The mind lies. Easily. He rationalizes fear as caution, laziness as wisdom, dead end as strategy. The body doesn't lie. Never.
Two minutes. And you are whole again. Not a head on a stick. Whole.
Quantum Genesis
Deep rewrite. Deepest mode. The most patient.
Each of you has something that hasn't changed for years. A reaction that turns on automatically. The fear you've learned to work around but haven't dissolved. A conviction that has held for twenty years.
You close your eyes. Enter Nothing. And you dive deeper - to the border where wakefulness meets sleep. You don't fall asleep. You are fully aware. But the brain goes into a different mode.
Neuroscientists call it memory reconsolidation. Yogi - Prajna. Alchemists - nigredo. Alpha and theta in balance. Neuroplasticity is maximum.
Twenty to forty minutes - and the old program softens. Not “you are working it out”. She loses rigidity. Stops being automatic. There is space for something new.
Active Presence
Open eyes. Relaxation and focus at the same time. What the monks were given for twenty years.
Until this moment, all three modes worked behind closed eyelids. But life happens with your eyes open. On the street. In the office. At the table with a child.
And here is the fundamental problem. Berger reaction: opened my eyes - the alpha rhythm is suppressed, the brain goes into processing mode, the internal dialogue returns.
Richard Davidson of the University of Wisconsin found one exception. Tibetan monks. Tens of thousands of hours of meditation. They - and only they - retained alpha even with their eyes open.
Not in twenty years. Now.
Relaxation index - 70–80%. With my eyes open. This is not a dream with open eyes and not a trance. This is consciousness in its best version - without background anxiety, without mental chewing gum, but in full readiness for action.
You open your eyes from Nothing - and the world enters without comment. Colors are brighter. Sounds are bigger. The person opposite is not a set of your expectations and projections, but living creature, which you see for the first time.
A walk with your child where you are truly here - and not on tomorrow's deadline.. A conversation with a partner in which you hear more than just words.
For a life that you want not to scroll through, but to live.
Embodied Flow
Flow. For those of you who know.
You were in this state. And remember. A speech in which you spoke for forty minutes without a single prepared phrase - and every word fell. Negotiations where you saw three moves forward.
Time has disappeared. You have disappeared. All that's left is the action - flawless, as light as breathing.. Without effort. No control. The inner critic was silent. There was no doubt.
This is the best thing that ever happened to you. And you know what it is rarely. Too rare. Sometimes months. Sometimes there are years between these moments.
Psychologist Csikszentmihalyi described it as a "coincidence of conditions". Gift of fate. You are either lucky or not.
He was wrong. Not about the description. About “impossible to call.”
Embodied Flow - flow button. You press and enter the state that previously came by chance. The inner critic turns off. The body is mobilized, but without tension. Time is stretching.
Japanese samurai trained for 20 years to achieve musin - “no-mind in action”. Miyamoto Musashi: “Don’t think about the blow—the blow happens on its own.” Bruce Lee: "Be like water."
In front of the stage. Before the meeting room. Before the start.
Transcendent Download
Last. The strangest. And the most powerful.
To explain it, I need to first describe the state from which it operates.
Remember what happens in Active Presence. You open your eyes and the alpha remains high. Are you present. But your attention is focused - on the interlocutor, on the task, on the cup of coffee.
Now imagine that you are from this presence expand your attention. Not for one object. For everything. Over the entire field of perception at once. Sounds, body sensations, space around, thoughts - all at the same time. No choice.
Zoran Josipovic from New York University found something unexpected in fMRI: in this state, simultaneously both the DMN and the external attention network. They are supposed to be antagonists - but here they work together.
Buddhists have described this for thousands of years as sunyata - emptiness that is not empty, but contains. Vedanta called it turiya - “fourth state”, beyond wakefulness, sleep and dreams.
Insight mechanism
Beeman and Kounios (Northwestern and Drexel Universities) documented the exact mechanism of insight using fMRI.. For one and a half seconds before the decision is realized, a gamma burst flashes in the right temporal cortex. This surge is always preceded by alpha silence.
First - silence. Then - expansion. Then - a flash.
This is what makes Transcendent Download. Not by chance, not by luck - by request.
You are asking a question. Non-verbal - a verbal question activates the DMN. you ask feeling. Whole body.
And the answer comes. Not as a thought. Not as an argument. How ready package - with the whole structure, with all the connections. A second ago he was not there - and here he is completely.
Einstein was walking. Edison fell asleep with metal balls in his hands. Tesla stared at the wall. They didn't "think". They created the conditions. Accidentally.
not by chance - by decision.
Six buttons - summary map
One day. Six switches.
Not a single effort of will - just buttons on the remote control.
Imagine your day as a canvas, where each hour is not a random chaos of thoughts and distractions, but a conscious choice. With the Remote you don't sacrifice time on complex practices.
It's simple: at any time - while driving, at lunch, before bed - you activate the desired mode with one “click” in your mind. In 2–3 seconds.
Skill. Which, once installed, does not require updates or recharging.
Ecosystem ONTO GENESIS
— ONTO NOTHING remote control is a breakthrough. A skill that changes your life. But a skill really shines when it becomes part of systems.
When Jobs showed off the iPhone, he didn't just show off a phone.. He showed the ecosystem. Device, App Store, iTunes, iCloud—each element reinforced the others.
We have created an ecosystem. Not just for fun. For consciousness.
Twelve months. Four technologies. One ecosystem.
1. Methodology
The Void Technology itself. ONTO NOTHING remote control, six modes, Salience Network activation - everything you saw today. This is the core.
2. Neurointerface
A headband that records brain activity in real time. Four EEG channels. Alpha, beta, theta, delta - everything that happens in the head is on the screen.
3. Fitness tracker
Neurophysiology of the body. Pulse. HRV. Stress level. Sleep quality - deep phases, REM, awakenings. 24 hours a day.
4. AI ONTOS
System of four artificial intelligences. They receive both streams of data - brain activity and body data - plus your diary. The monthly report reads like this:
“Relaxation Index increased from 2.05 to 7.68 - access to deep recovery resources. HRV increased from 38.5 to 44.3 ms (+15%) - the nervous system learned to switch. Deep sleep increased from 92.5 to 107.4 minutes (+16%).
With practice stabilization, growth potential is up to +5 years of life. Current status: “Unstable Master” - elite abilities, regular calibration. The next step is to transfer dual-mode from the training context to real scenes.”
This is the first ever complete mind management system - where skill, measurement, analytics and maintenance work together.
Four steps
Preparation. The book “My Mental Self” is a blueprint of your entire prison. You speak with your voice, you don't write. Four AIs collect a map. Not individual thoughts - the entire structure.
Initiation. One day taken from the schedule. In space - people in different states ONTO NOTHING. The nervous systems of those who are already in silence broadcast it - physically, measurably. At the end of the day you have a button.
Integration. Four to eight weeks. Daily tasks woven into everyday life. Elevator - three seconds Pure Nothing. Negotiations - Switching Active Presence. The path becomes a road.
Study. Twelve months of controlled experimentation on your own nervous system. With hypotheses. With data. With verification.
There is a switch.
One thing left. Click.
Behind the scenes
The presentation is over. But the book is not.
What you just saw close up - a method, three neural networks, a comparison of generations, an ONTO NOTHING remote control with six modes - is tip of the iceberg. What is shown on stage.
Underwater - three years of work. Hundreds of sessions with participants. Thousands of EEG and HRV measurements. Dozens of iterations of every mode, every instruction, every pause. Partnership with Neiry. Global research with verification protocol.
And most importantly, what cannot be shown on the slide: living people. Those who were the first to undergo initiation trusted the method when there was no EEG confirmation, no mode system, no AI ONTOS - just my “try it.”
Without them this chapter would not exist.. Not because I wouldn't have enough material. But because the method is not proven by one brain. It is proven by the fact that it is reproduced in other people's nervous systems - in dozens of different ones, living different lives in different cities.
This chapter is not the end of the book. This transfer point. Up to this point I told how we got there. From now on, you have a drawing of the remote control in your hands. Next is your territory.
And what changes when not two captains live in one body - but one who holds the helm.
